The State Key Laboratory of Molecular Engineering of Polymers was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in October, 2011, and examined in December, 2013. Its main body is based on National Key Academic Discipline, Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics in the Department of Macromolecular Science, Fudan University.     
There are four major research fields in the laboratory：

• High performance of commodity polymers;

• Design of biomedical polymers; 

• Polymer-related functional mesoporous materials; 

• Science and technology of multidimensional preparation of polymers. 

Objectives: The researches on fundamental science and practical application are centered on the requirement of the nation and the frontier of the subject. Our laboratory focus on important scientific problems and core technologies concerning national economy, security and public health. We strive to become a world-famous academic base, talent cultivation base, and a national service base that serves major requirements collaboratively in the field of molecular engineering of polymers.
